Manfred Hellweger
Manfred Hellweger questions the meaning and value of existence, the world and humanity.
His distinctive sculptures are mainly made of wood, metal and stone.
Hellweger uses simple shapes such as cubes, strips, boards, nails or shaped tubes. Using a variety of techniques, the individual parts are connected to create mostly figurative works that taper towards the base.
Through this process, Manfred Hellweger's sculptures evoke a sense of vertical dissolution, symbolizing the perpetual change of our time.
Everything changes and develops, nothing remains the same.
Each piece embodies Hellweger's credo, “less of everything rather than more”, reflecting a philosophy of simplicity and contentment that extends beyond art.
