Verena Dengler

For her solo exhibition in the Secession’s historic main hall, Dengler is creating new pieces that will also address questions around the mounting economic pressures on artists, authenticity, and authorship and draw connections between past and present, though without being oblivious to the ever-accelerating spiral of image cultivation and attention-building on social media.
