On the Quiet
The exhibition “On the Quiet” will be on display in the STUDIO from April 2 (opening: April 1 2020; April 2 to May 4, 2020).Â
Beginning with the idea of creating an entire exhibition from the contents of a suitcase, Benjamin Appel and Carolina Perez Pallares came up with the idea of packing a suitcase with artworks and ideas for site-specific installations that had a total weight of 31.5 kilograms, to be presented at selected museums. The decision to use the format of a package references the exchange of goods, the increased use of delivery services, and the constant risk of items being lost in transit. Kunsthalle Mannheim will be the exhibition’s second stop, after its premiere at the gallery of the city of Sindelfingen.
