Metropolis

Metropolis

A comment on the physical and mental distance one maintains whilst existing in close proximity in a city. The figures are standing in a configuration inspired by the Navgraha altar in a hindu temple. The figures are made out of air dry clay and over the past lockdown months have been drying out and crumbling slowly. It is after all wasn't serendipitous that it is a microcosm installation of human behaviour during these troubling times.
