Dialogue in Mont-Roig (Tarragona)

Guided tour by the artist Martí Rom to the very land that ignited the creativity of Joan Miró, plus visit to studio Martí Rom!

Our next Dialogue appointment revolves around the works of the plastic artist, sculptor, painter, writer and cultural activist Martí Rom (Barcelona, 1955). Since 1974 he has been exhibiting sculpture and painting and has works in private collections in different countries such as Germany, Netherlands, Chile, Argentina, USA, among others. He works with materials including bronze, iron and wood.

Since a child he spent long periods of time in Mont-roig del Camp and that is how he met the painter and sculptor Joan Miró (1893-1983). At our meeting we will make a private guided visit to the Fundació Mas Miró, the place where Miró's pictorial creation was conceived and where Martí Rom will tell us all the anecdotes about Joan Miró. At the end of the tour, we will go to the artist's home, El Garrofer, to see his work and visit his private sculpture garden.

Program

11:30: Registration at the meeting point: Fundació Mas Miró
11:40: Private guided tour of Mas Miró by Martí Rom.
Reduced rate: €8 (to be paid by each participant). Payment is required at the entrance.
13:00: Dialog with Martí Rom at his private home and visit to the sculpture garden.
14:00: Networking and informal lunch at the artist's home (the cost of the meal will be shared among all participants).

The programme will be held in Spanish and Catalan.
