Prayer wheel

On my trips through Nepal I hit over and over again on prayer wheels. Inspirit by this Buddhist religious ritual I have designed in 2004 my own prayer wheel.

Seven universal aspects stand for the well-being of the individiums. Self-knowledge, Movement, Love and friendship, Wishes, Balance, Living together and Peace. On seven river stones, figures symbolize the respective aspect.
The stones are able to swivel but in contrast to the traditional version the Mantra is the stone himself with his figure. By swiveling the stones one gives strength to the respective aspect.
