THREE RIVER STONES, Version II/Variation #2 of 7

THREE BLACK STONES Version II/#2 at Alter Wasserturm, Konstanz.
Material and technique: sandcast bronze (Noack Foundry, Berlin)

Like a chameleon the three stones blend into their environment, become a part of it, reflect it and mirror it: architecture, light and weather conditions, the beholder.
THREE BLACK STONES, second version, second variation, is cast in bronze and highly polished. This sets in motion the magical interplay of mirrors mirroring mirrors: it symbolizes encounter, interaction and response. All three elements are the very basis of social and economic life. The beholder becomes a player. Every movement, every change of position or perspective is “answered” by the work of art, and sets it in an entirely new light.
