Wir leben in einer bewegten Zeit, die nach Veränderungen riecht. Mein Verständnis von Kunst und mein Wunsch an sie ist, zu neuen Perspektiven, Fühl- und Denkweisen anzuregen. Einige meiner Skulpturen bestehen aus einer Vielzahl gleicher Grundelemente, bei anderen sind die einzelnen Elemente nicht fest miteinander verbunden, so dass die Skulpturen leicht beweglich sind und bei jedem Aufbau etwas anders aussehen. Auch sind wir mehr denn je in unserem Tun und Erfahren verwoben mit unserer direkten und weiteren Umgebung. Kontextbezogenheit ist mir sehr wichtig. Ich gebe teilweise meinen Skulpturen, Objekten und Installationen pro Ausstellung neue Titel, die sich auf den jeweiligen Gesamtzusammenhang beziehen.
In our present world we are witness of dramatic changes. My understanding of art and desire to it implies the stimulation of the spirit of the here and now, articulating the characteristics of time. Some of my sculptures are composed of a number of similar base elements, in others the individual parts are not permanently bound. That implies that some of my sculptures are mobile and may look different in each installation. In our daily life we are deeply interwoven with the context. This context relatedness is very important to me. The titles of my sculptures, objects and installations sometimes vary for the single objects in my expositions. The titles should reflect the general context of the exhibition and not the singular sculpture.
