LOVE\LIGHT LARGE

LOVE\LIGHT LARGE shows the relationship between light, colour and perception, with love and diversity at its conceptual core.

At the centre of the sculpture, dichroic film embedded in acrylic transforms light into shifting spectra of iridescent colour. Depending on the viewer’s position, colours appear, overlap, dissolve and re-emerge. The work therefore has no single, fixed visual appearance. It unfolds through movement and perspective, revealing constantly changing nuances and relationships.

The changing colour fields create a delicate interplay between transparency and presence, between what is revealed and what remains concealed. As the viewer moves around the sculpture, the work seems to transform with them. What appears dominant from one perspective may disappear from another, while entirely new colours and combinations emerge.

This shifting perception forms the conceptual foundation of LOVE\LIGHT LARGE: diversity is experienced through difference in perspective. Rather than presenting a singular visual reality, the sculpture allows multiple perceptions to exist simultaneously. Light becomes the element that connects them, passing through the material, transforming into colour and bringing seemingly separate elements into a continuously changing whole.

The result is a work that is both ethereal and materially precise—a sculpture in which light, colour and movement become inseparable. Its visual experience is never complete, but unfolds gradually through the viewer’s physical presence and changing point of view.

LOVE\LIGHT LARGE originated from the LOVE\LIGHT edition, a unique fundraising work created in support of Queer Art Spaces Vienna, an association dedicated to strengthening spaces for diversity, visibility and artistic exchange.

In the large-scale installation, this idea expands into the space: light becomes a carrier of colour, colour becomes a reflection of perspective, and the act of looking itself becomes part of the artwork.
