Palmyra Sculpture Centre x Julie van Riel | 2024

Surrounded by the raw beauty of Mallorca, Julie van Riel’s art residency became a dialogue with her direct environment, the garden of Palmyra Sculpture Centre. She created pigments from clay and stone and brewed inks from plants and nuts. Her sculptures are given to time, while rain and drought shape her work. She has a fascination for cocoons and their fragile skin, holding the mystery of life or the quietness of what’s left behind.
