Demonized

This sculpture has emerged to trace the traces of these fears and prejudices. Blurring the boundaries between human, animal, and demon.

Throughout history, we humans have struggled to deal with differences. Perhaps this is one of the greatest challenges nature has bestowed upon us. Instead of understanding differences, we have been incompetent in making sense of them. Since ancient times, rather than understanding what is different, we have feared it, alienated it, and even demonized it. Witches, giants, dwarfs, animals... A fairy tale world filled with differences familiar to many of us. However, these differences do not solely belong to the realm of fairy tales. They are also part of the reality we live in.

This sculpture has emerged to trace the traces of these fears and prejudices. Blurring the boundaries between human, animal, and demon, this artwork invites the viewer into deep contemplation. Here, a world where the nature of humans intertwines with the wild power of animals and the dark sides of demons is presented. The relationship between these concepts shapes not only the surface of a sculpture but also the human mind.
