Nemesis

Nemesis is a full size human piece modelled around myself (I am always available). The body position is meant to evoke a feeling of despair or wanting to hide in a corner, something all of us go through at some point.
This piece has a double narrative. As we become more aware of mental health issues this could be construed as something deeper, hence the name Nemesis. The incomplete covering of skin is a deliberate reference to ailments known to be caused by sugar and alcohol, both normally found in these bright, shiny jewels of soda cans carefully designed to be eye catching and attractive. The hidden consequences are the unspoken horrors caused by these sugary treats, everything from Alzheimer's to diabetes to amputations, cirrhosis, cancers and mental health issues.
