Mabois (Margret Holz)
My work is based on research into unknown and forgotten testimonies in real and no longer existing places.
Seeing, perceiving, orienting oneself in space and in environments are important for sculptures and installations, interventions, print projects and photography.Â
In performative, site-specific installations, I open up the discourse with the public.
Current:
1. Running, Fleeting Shadows are shadow phenomena, the long shadows of history. The inability to depict these shadows is transformed here into burned-in time - the shadow phenomena - through physical impact (1400°) on the material.
2. In this spatial work, Extensions will referto the elongation of individual elements. Simultaneously, it implies expansion. The components of the installation lie, hang or stand within the space. This results in a tableau of works, the conception of a spatial instllation. I intend to combine my existing vocabulary - such as Openes, Inside-Outside, Passage, Unknown Manuscripts and Shadow Phenomena - into a montage, an open tableau. Experimental setups.
