Studied Public Sculpture at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art, UK. Town Artist for Warrington and Runcorn Development Corporation for five years. Self employed Sculptor since 1986.
I have been making Public Sculpture since I was 20 and often in collaboration with my husband Philip Bews since 1986. We met at Runcorn Development Corporation when I was Town Artist and Phil was a Landscape Architect. He then went back to education to study sculpture and gained a BA first in Fine Art - Sculpture. The range of our work is varied because we design our commissions to suit the site, though it is obvious I have an interest in making head sculptures!
