Marijan Mirt

My artistic practice moves between sculpture, installation and spatial interventions. I explore the tensions between individual experience and collective structures, focusing on displacement, marginality and overlooked presences. My work navigates the boundaries between the familiar and the unfamiliar, the recognisable and the abstract, questioning established perceptions of identity, belonging and place.

Rather than offering fixed narratives, I am interested in ambiguity, contradiction and the tension between form and meaning. My sculptures and installations create situations in which the ordinary can become unsettling, inviting viewers to reconsider what they recognise, what they overlook and what they take for granted.
