STATEMENT
Since 2012 I have been working increasingly in the direction of object, textile, ceramic and large-scale installation art.
Thematically, I concentrate in particular on the question of what contribution my artistic work can make to environmental issues.
Therefor I developed large textile and capsule art installations. The inclusion of as many senses as possible and the aspect of visitor participation are becoming increasingly important.
In my installation “Feast of the Sense in a Black Magic Cube” the visitor is invited to enter in a magical world of floating crocheted butterflies in which he can proactively participate with his own sounds, thanks to a “polyphonic whale”, with the scent of grass and with changing light colors. The previous installations were various “Noah's Ark rescue nests of the 21st century”, set up in the Kunsthaus Dreho, (https://youtu.be/S_A2AgBfbHA), in the City Church in Mönchengladbach (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLazldErUtU) and in the Cathedral of St Marys in Auckland, NZ
Parallel to my art work, I have been running my "Kunsthaus Dreho" in the small listed medieval Liedberg for 13 years, the last 6 years with international shows.
