Nina Beier: Real Estate

Bozar presents a solo exhibition by the Danish artist Nina Beier, focusing on her sculptural installations which orchestrate conversations between a variety of loaded found objects.

The exhibition displays works from the period 2013 to 2025 that investigate themes such as power, value, and economic and cultural exchange. Beier juxtaposes materials with varied connotations — from rodeo bulls with bottles of powdered milk strapped to their backs (Beasts, 2018–2024) to a designer bathtub whose plughole is stuffed with banknotes (Great Depression, 2023). Her sculptures oscillate between their material presence and the meanings they evoke. They resist a singular perspective and instead trigger the viewer’s imagination.

Nina Beier (b. 1975, Aarhus) lives and works in Copenhagen. Her work has recently been exhibited at CAPC Bordeaux, Kiasma Helsinki, and the Tamayo Museum in Mexico City.

This exhibition forms part of the cultural programme surrounding the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
