The dialogue is about the genesis of an artistic work. The meeting takes place at Komatsu in Hanover/Linden, where the finished work has found its final place. We look at the finished work and go backwards to the place of origin, the studio of Hartmut Stielow at Gut Erichshof (Gehrden/Everloh). There we retrace the steps of design and realisation (genesis).

About Hartmut Stielow:
He studied at the University of the Arts in Berlin from 1977 to 1983, finishing as a master student with Bernhard Heiliger. For more than 35 years, sculptor Hartmut Stielow, who was born in Benthe, has had his studio at the Erichshof estate. In his work, granite and steel combine to form a compositional unity. The development of small models and the realisation of large formats become vividly visible.
