Save the date! SPREEWALDATELIER 2025

Please approach! It's just art. The SPREEWALDATELIER puts a literal interpretation on the term "public art" and assembles about 25 sculptors and caricaturists every other year in the heart of the historic town of Lübbenau.

In front of the audience the participants are using their way of artistic expression to create unique snap-shots and turn them into life. The results are punchy objects made from trunk wood and razor-sharp punchlines on paper. The most fascinating part: everthing happens close to the action, live and on par with artists and audience. In between the chippings, there's always time for a little chit-chat in a calm atmosphere. Do not miss the opportunity at the SPREEWALDATELIER 2025 where you can witness how logs turn into sculptures! 

The central working area between church, town hall...

...and the bustle of the historic town with theater and live music completes the SPREEWALDATELIER 2025. The scent of wood, turpentine and acrylic, chipping spread all over the place, the scream of chainsaws, the muffled knocking of the chisels and colorful drawings are amplifying an experience including all senses.
