The Pampin Sculpture Park is a gem between Hamburg and Berlin - ‘a place of inspiration’.

It was opened in 2007 and has been continuously expanded and optimised ever since. The transformation of the former paddock into a park and the barn into a light and airy cultural centre was made possible thanks to EU funding in 2007. Today, the permanent exhibition spanning around 8,500 square metres includes more than 70 sculptures and installations by contemporary artists from all over Germany, as well as - since 2015 - works by the Chinese artist Ping Qiu, whose objects have been exhibited around the world.

Sensible arrangements and themed rooms structure the wide variety of styles, shapes, sizes and materials. Cosy seating areas in the imaginative and varied park constantly open up new perspectives on art and nature. Temporary exhibitions in the park, the hall and the gallery rooms complement the collection and provide variety.

The sculpture park ensemble is an ambitious project by the non-profit organisation kulturforum PAMPIN. It serves the cultural development of the structurally weak Ruhner Berge region. The kulturforum PAMPIN has already been honoured several times for its extraordinary commitment to regional development: by the Federal President as a ‘Place of Ideas 2008’; by the Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance with the grand prize ‘Active against Violence’ 2011; by the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim with the ‘Ludwig Reinhard Culture Prize’ 2012.

kulturforum Pampin has been a member of the ‘Association of Art Museums, Galleries and Art Associations Mecklenburg-Vorpommern’ since 2013 and a member of the Sculpture Network since 2012.
