Edwin Scharff Museum

The Edwin Scharff Museum is a house for art lovers as well as for children and families. It is located on Petrusplatz in the middle of Neu-Ulm and unites an art museum and a children’s museum.

In the Edwin Scharff Museum you will find permanent art exhibitions and special art exhibitions changing several times a year. In the children’s museum the hands-on-exhibitions change annually.

The permanent exhibitions are dedicated on on hand to the Neu-Ulm born painter, graphic artist and sculptor Edwin Scharff, one of the most important German sculptors of the first half of the 20th century, and on the other hand to Ernst Geitlinger, a pioneer of geometric abstract art in Germany.

The art museum and the children’s museum are connected by media stations and our so-called participation zones. The principle of playful exploration which is an important part of the children’s museum, is thus also part of the art exhibition.
