Save it! About Water, Value and Art
There is nothing as soothing as simply looking at water. At the banks of the river Isar in Munich, at the shores of Lake Maggiore or at the Atlantic coast. You can just hang on to your thoughts and listen to the gentle sound of the waves or the calm flow of the river. Inevitably, the big questions of life will eventually surface.

Wood - a material for old and new
Wood is a material that can be used in many different ways and from which a wide range of different works can be created. Transformation of the Landscape Materialized in Dutch Land Art by Bob Gramsma
The Netherlands have been shaped by the struggle against water. Sea became land in Flevoland. This transformation is the reason for Land Art Flevoland, a series of nine land art works. The Touching Performance
Developed by the dancer Zrinka Šimičić Mihanović and the artist and sculpture network coordinator Marina Bauer a special happening took place last summer: The Touching Performance, which combined sculpture, dance, movement and touch into a common experience. The idea behind the performative installation is, that the viewer and the observed are both parts of a common experience, both participants and witnesses of the event, and both responsible for what is experienced and seen. We wanted to learn more about this special project and talked to the two initiators:
Do Not Touch!
The instruction "Do not touch!" was once most commonly found in museums and galleries. The fact that it has spread to our entire lives in the wake of the Corona crisis is a huge challenge for all of us. This calls for a reflection on the value of touch— for us as humans and in art.
The Female Gaze: Voyeurism Redefined
There are some shared aspects of the female experience that are collectively understood, if not always spoken. Voyeurism, or the male gaze, which has likely existed since the dawn of artistic development in humans, is one such phenomenon.
EUROPEAN SCULPTURE PATH - VISIONS FOR EUROPE
Europe is currently facing major challenges. The corona crisis affects and concerns us all, and, at the moment, makes us forget about many other issues. However - and equally so - the increasingly nationalistic tendencies in a number of countries, our handling of refugees, the rapidly progressing climate change and, hence, the question of how we want to use our resources in the future require courageous and clear decisions. The idea and effectiveness of a united Europe is constantly being called into question.
