Mirek Struzik

As an artist, I specialize in sculpture in public space. I treat a sculpture as a composition of space. My sculptures are possible suggestion of a form and I leave the final creation and interpretation to the viewer's imagination.

My main and incessant inspiration lies in nature
viewed as micro in macro structure. Some of my projects have been completed in Seoul, Dubai, Chicago, Istanbul.

Adam&Eve
Adam & Eve Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park, Chicago, USA electro polished acid resistant stainless steel Using various types and gauges of steel wire, the artist has created figures full of energy and whimsy. The sculpture might be likened to a line scribbled on paper, with a similar freedom of movement. There is the sense of immediacy as if the artist created the figures very quickly, allowing the lines of the wires to twist and turn as they wished. The artist wanted the figures to have real as well as visual movement. They have a “kinetic energy” that makes them seem to communicate with each other and with viewers.

Geological observer
I believe already prehistoric people from around here observed this landscape. The sculpture symbolizes the continuity of observation of nature. The sculpture is made of stones arranged on top of each other. The stones are from various geological eras. The stones are processed naturally by the power of time and water. They are arranged in a pattern similar to the rocky cliffs visible on the slopes of the mountains.
