Dandelions in San Mateo
"Dandelions" is an installation directly inspired by the sophisticated design of dandelions (Taraxacum officinale) occurring in nature. The concept of this work was preceded by a meticulous analysis of the structure of dandelion seedhead, which in a somewhat simplified form was then transposed to the macro scale. As a result, the delicate floral pattern took on a completely new — half futuristic, half fairy tale — context.
