Creating Art for the 10th Swiss Triennial of Sculpture

For almost three decades, Bad Ragartz has been bringing art and people together. In 2027, the Swiss Triennial of Sculpture celebrates its tenth edition, marking 27 years of art in public space in Bad Ragaz.

Bad Ragartz is one of the largest open-air exhibitions of contemporary sculpture in Europe. More than 400 works by around 80 international artists are presented in public spaces in Bad Ragaz (CH) and Vaduz (FL), freely accessible and tangible for a wide audience. The exhibition primarily features monumental or life-sized sculptures. These are installed along streets, in parks and in public squares – selected smaller works are presented as part of the Festival of Small-Scale Sculpture at the historic Alte Bad Pfäfers site. The exhibition is organised by the non-profit Swiss Triennial of Sculpture Foundation, which is committed to barrier-free access to art in public space.

Visual artists from Switzerland and abroad are invited to apply. Three-dimensional artworks suitable for long-term outdoor display may be submitted. Two-dimensional works such as paintings, drawings or photographs will not be considered, nor will purely video, digital or light-based works without a physical object. The artworks should enter into dialogue with the site, architecture, landscape and the people who encounter them.

The application period for the 10th Swiss Triennial of Sculpture runs until 30 June 2026. Applications are accepted exclusively via the application form on the Bad Ragartz website (https://badragartz.ch/en/bewerbung). Further information on the suitability of artworks can be found in the application guidelines.
