Verbier 3-D Foundation

Founded in 2010 by New York-based artist Madeleine Paternot and Verbier-based artist Kiki Thompson, the pioneering organization creates an experimental and educational Artist Residency and Sculpture Park at an altitude of 2,300 meters, inspired by the stunning Alpine landscape of Verbier, Switzerland.

Our mission is to support emerging and established talent by pushing artists out of their comfort zones, fostering development that might not be possible in the studio space.

The residencies are curated by Alexa Jeanne Kusber with the aim of creating a multidisciplinary residency allowing artists to study modern environmental issues within the framework of a creative dialogue with academics, scientists and the local public, in order to account for the impact of the surrounding glacial environment.

This initiative acts as an integrated creative center and is an essential part of the cultural resurgence of Verbier, Switzerland.
