Ninth edition of Vilnius Gallery Weekend

Vilnius Gallery Weekend (VGW), launched in 2016, is a festival that invites the public to go on a journey across various art spaces in Vilnius. VGW is organised by the public institution “Galerijų savaitgalis” together with the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association (LIAA) with the aim of introducing the public to art spaces in the city, presenting new initiatives and fostering a lasting habit of visiting galleries. Each year, VGW marks the symbolic beginning of the exhibitions season. This year, for the 9th time, the event will present the city and its visitors with a broad range of contemporary art in the capital and invite them to immerse themselves in the theme of habits.
 
Starting this year, VGW is changing direction and is inviting galleries, art spaces and their curatorial teams to curate the programme of the art weekend.
