Panta Rhei

Panta Rhei, the calligraphy which is the base of this monumental steel sculpture has 5 movements of the calligraphic brush. They're placed in such a way that the circulair movement is extending and returnig to it's origins. At the horizon there's an inner movement which holds the outer movement with an exact form of three brush strokes and holds the movement in place.

Panta Rhei is permanently exhibited at the Hall of the Supreme court. It has been selected because laws and society are always taking space and the reedom they need. Laws have to define and redefine with exact definitions what has to be deined at a certain period of changes.

The sculpture has found it's place in designed private gardens where it defines and opens the space. The 12 mm steel reflects the light and shows the sesitive calligraphic lines as they appear and disappear.
