Between canvas and landscape: Kirchwehren Art House and Pristin Sculpture Garden
Studio visit with Wolfgang Tiemann and sculpture experience in the Pristin Garden with works by Robert Metzkes and Hirofumi Fujiwara
Our dialogue begins in Kirchwehren, Lower Saxony, near Hanover. There, artist Wolfgang Tiemann has been running the Kunsthaus Kirchwehren for over 40 years – an inspiring combination of studio and exhibition space. He gives us personal insights into his work, which ranges from painting to sculpture.
Afterwards, we visit the Pristin Garden in Barsinghausen. Hosts Aleksandra Pristin and Hans-Dieter Pristin guide us through the exhibition of sculptures by Robert Metzkes and Hirofumi Fujiwara, whose works combine European and Asian perspectives, classicism and modernism. The sculptures revolve around the theme of humanity and tell of inner worlds in their own unique visual language.
In addition to artistic impressions, the day also offers space for conversation, exchange and new contacts. Finally, a concert with songs and poems by U.T.A. – Uta Holst-Ziegeler and Axel Holst – awaits us in the special atmosphere of the garden.
