Saugetier

Saugetier is an original of the sculpture series “organic media sculptures” Broken electric appliances - the wired plastic debris of our technological civilization - are merging with organic waste material - the eternally renewing biomass of natural cycles. The inevitable digital screen of the 21st century is implanted in this indecipherable object trouve, the screen again is conquered by the moving image of the eternal flow of life’s basic substance- water, in all its formal variations, breathing in and out as the universal life force expanding and contracting. In the age of the Antropozen, man-made artefacts have irreversibly penetrated and started to mutilate the earth’s biospheres, while plastic waste, Elektrosmog and sewage are poisoning our natural world, nature starts to actively integrate the invasive materials in its eternal scheme of evolving life- new imaginary hybrid species emerge — with technological corses, digital hearts and organic skins…
