Milchhof e. V. is a studio community that was founded in 1991 in a former dairy in Anklamer Straße in Berlin-Mitte and has been using an old school building on Schwedter Straße, a few hundred metres from the old location, since moving in 2004. Today, more than 40 artists work here - painters, draughtsmen, sculptors, photographers, video and performance artists, dancers, musicians and composers, choreographers, directors - as well as documentary photographers and journalists.

After some renovations, there are 40 studios, rehearsal rooms and studios on four floors in the building, which are allocated in consultation with the bbk Berlin. Vacant spaces are indicated via the bbk's studio office and interested parties can obtain information there. A guest studio with an area of 56 sqm, equipped with a kitchen and shower, is allocated by the studio community on its own responsibility for a limited period. Pavilion

Since 2009, the Ateliergemeinschaft has had a pavilion that is used for exhibitions, performances and panel discussions. Artists from the Ateliergemeinschaft, guests and invited applicants from Germany and abroad can exhibit here. Since 2006, some Milchhöfler have also been running the exhibition project super bien! which has made a name for itself in the art scene. Events of the studio community and the rehearsals and performances of onairproductions take place in the old assembly hall.
