Materima

Nicola Loi Founded in 1986 by Nicola Loi, Studio Copernico has chosen to deal essentially with sculpture through the works of artists capable of appearing as cultural reference points for 20th-century art in Italy and abroad.

He is currently dedicated to the creation of Materima in Casalbeltrame (a small site between Turin and Milan): a center for sculpture, a place where artists will be able to find everything they need to execute their works: suitable spaces, skilled workers for working bronze and marble, studios and guesthouses.

Since 1999, his daughter Tiziana Loi and Flavio Dario have been working alongside Nicola Loi in the dual activity of promoting collecting and enhancing and disseminating the plastic work, which fully outlines the cultural and civil commitment of Studio Copernico.

Materima Materima is an extension of Studio Copernico, a place where Art is the absolute protagonist... Materima is an art gallery, but not only, it is the place where you can admire one of the most important sculpture collections in Italy, where you can see temporary exhibitions, where works are sometimes produced or restored, where ideas are born... or where you can lose yourself for a few hours immersed in beauty.
