Marine de Soos at Château de Cheverny

Four bronze sculptures by Marine de Soos are on view at Château de Cheverny in France, creating a subtle dialogue between contemporary sculpture and 17th-century French classical architecture.

From July 2 to October 2, 2026, French sculptor Marine de Soos presents four bronze sculptures in the gardens of Château de Cheverny, one of France's finest 17th-century classical estates in the Loire Valley.

Organized by Artistics in partnership with the association Le Jardin des Amoureux, the exhibition marks the first presentation of Marine de Soos's work at Cheverny. Installed near the château's historic outbuildings, the sculptures—The Welcome, Hoop Rolling Boy, The Flute Player and Palabres—are integrated into the visitor route, creating a subtle dialogue between contemporary sculpture and a site renowned for its architectural heritage and landscaped grounds.

For more than twenty-five years, Marine de Soos has developed a distinctive body of figurative bronze sculpture inspired by memories of her travels and childhood in Africa. Her elongated figures, captured in simple, universal gestures, evoke themes of welcome, dialogue, play and contemplation. Rather than imposing themselves on the landscape, the works invite visitors to slow down and engage with their surroundings through quiet observation.
