Online Experience: Art in the Mountains

Join our brand-new Online Experience and immerse yourself in the stories behind our four-day art journey through the Dolomites, where contemporary art meets majestic alpine landscapes.

During this special online session, we’ll take you on a virtual trip through high-altitude museums, open-air sculpture parks, and works from the latest edition of the SMACH Biennale — all set against the backdrop of UNESCO World Heritage mountain scenery.

You’ll hear first-hand insights from the people who shaped and experienced it:

• Yke Prins – artist and trip participant, sharing her impressions and artistic encounters in the mountains
• Micheal Moling – president and founder of SMACH, the Dolomites Biennale, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how site-specific art dialogues with nature
• Timian Hopf – filmmaker and director of the documentary about SMACH, revealing what it means to capture this unique fusion of art, landscape, and community on film

Together, we’ll revisit inspiring moments: from visiting high-altitude museums like LUMEN on Kronplatz, to encountering artworks and installations scattered across alpine meadows, and meeting local yet internationally renowned sculptors such as Lois Anvidalfarei in his studio.

This Online Experience is more than a report — it’s an invitation to relive an artistic adventure that connects people, place, and creative vision.
