Labyrinth Of The Future (solo)
From September 24 to October 29, Bianca Runge will show her monumental installation Labyrinth Of The Future in the Council Cellar of the Belfry in Sluis. With residual materials such as beads, carpets and tree trunks, she creates 'apocalyptic fairy tales' that challenge, comfort and make us think about our relationship with nature and consumption. The interactive work invites visitors to discover new perspectives and experience small steps towards recovery.
Artist Bianca Runge explores the relationship between people, nature and consumption in her monumental installations. From September 24 to October 29, Labyrinth Of The Future can be seen in the Council Cellar of the Belfort in Sluis.
With residual materials such as beads, carpets and tree trunks, Runge creates 'apocalyptic fairy tales': poetic images that confront, comfort and invite reflection. Carpets form new paths, aluminum trunks and proliferating shapes represent vulnerability and regeneration.
Runge's work excites the audience, stimulates thinking about our impact on nature and shows how small actions together can make a big difference.
