Jaume Plensa: Secret Garden
From July 27 to August 29, 2025, the artist Jaume Plensa will showcase his art project Secret Garden at Residenzplatz in Salzburg. Large iron female heads will transform the square into a quiet, mysterious garden in the heart of the city.
Five portraits of young women made of cast iron, five faces with closed eyes – connected in a silent, inner dialogue. Secret Garden represents the invisible that lives within us all: the quiet beauty, the personal landscape of dreams, thoughts, and feelings – our secret garden.
These women come from different parts of the world, from various cultures and realities – yet they speak the same language of silence, hope, and inner dignity. Secret Garden celebrates the commonality of humanity – beyond origin, nationality, or history.
A project of the Stiftung fĂĽr Kunst und Kultur e.V. in cooperation with Global Neighbours.
