Dialogue in Barcelona: Visit to the Studio-Workshop of Artist Lluís Ventós
Discover a unique and inspiring location in Barcelona’s Poblenou neighborhood, once the epicenter of Catalonia’s industrial boom in the late 19th century.
Our next Dialogue event features the celebrated sculptor and painter Lluís Ventós, born in Barcelona in 1952. Coming from a family with a legacy in the essence creation and distribution business, Ventós has devoted himself fully to painting and sculpture since 1977. His artistic curiosity extends beyond traditional disciplines, encompassing perfume design, jewelry creation, and even crafting intricate weathervanes.
In his spacious, meticulously organized studio—where the music of Pat Metheny or Enrique Morente often plays in the background—Ventós will share insights into his artistic journey. He will discuss the evolution of his style, his inspirations (including Juan Gris), and his current projects: IBO (in Mozambique), Torrentius (a tribute to Flemish painter Johannes van der Beeck), Guitars, Jewelry, Figureheads, the Easter Island Moai, and more. Participants will have the opportunity to view his stunning sculptures crafted from glass, wood, stone, and iron. Ventós’ work has been exhibited in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, London, Geneva, and Utrecht.

14:00 Informal networking and aperitif (each participant brings their own) at Lluís Ventós’ studio-workshop.

Non Members: 10,00 EUR. To be paid cash on the spot.
Including: entrance fee, guided tours, artist's talk.
Priority will be given to Sculpture Network members. The event is limited to 20 participants.
