IJssel Biennial 2021

The IJssel Biennale is a manifestation of the relationship between people and landscape. The biennial's theme is the impact of climate change on our landscape, a topic as urgent as it is relevant. We can only overcome this problem if we change our attitude. This requires a different way of looking at ourselves and our environment. It is in this area that art can contribute.

For the outdoor exhibition, the curators invited 27 artists from the Netherlands and abroad to create new, temporary works of art in the IJsselvallei between Doesburg and Zwolle.
