A advertisement screen stand in a fake bamboo forest. On the screen is a photograph in which we see a ghostly image of a woman walking through a passage within a dense bamboo forest. An indexical image that draws us into its digital frame. Yet, oddly, once we arrive, we encounter a ghostly movement which casts doubt on our encounter. Is this a dream or reality? Fake or real, past or future, this dialectical image leads to a landscape of invention in which art is at one with the frame of nature. In reframing the photograph, Bamboo Forest relocates us to a landscape that beckons us to escape the confines of the screen.
