the gatekeeper

I could get my hands on a massive block of black Belgian marble. Noir de Mazy is a rare type of black limestone. This is the first work: I made a perfect square around a fracture in the stone, on a cortensteel base. The work is mysterious, somewhat threatening. The gatekeeper, keeper of the key that gives access to things you are not supposed to see; guard of the parallel universe where the landscape is a body.
