The Kunsthalle Wil is supported by the Kunsthalle Wil association, which was formed in 1991 from Wiler Künstlerkreise with the aim of, to anchor regional and national and international contemporary art in the region and bring it closer to an interested audience. Frank Nievergelt held the curatorial and later comprehensive management from 1991 to 2013. From 2014 to 2019, the curator duo Dr. Gabrielle Obrist and Dr. Claudia Reeb headed the art gallery. As of 2020, the fortunes of the Kunsthalle will be placed in the hands of the artist and art educator Sonja Rüegg. Max Zeintl, Wiler entrepreneur and artist has been the president since the beginning. Together with Benni Salzmann, he is one of the initiators of the Kunsthalle Wil.

Without the great commitment of the artists as well as all those who always play an active and often voluntary role in the construction, preparation and support of the exhibition and the numerous tasks behind the scenes, the Kunsthalle would not be to the extent that it has been since its foundation – a place for exciting encounters with unusual art of high quality and innovative strength.
