Artistic Action at the Vostell Malpartida Museum for the "European Day of Museum Friends"
On Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., Museo Vostell Malpartida will host a live artistic action organized by the Association of Friends of Museo Vostell Malpartida, in celebration of the "European Day of Museum Friends". This special event will feature artist Luis Rosado, who will direct the creation of a woodcut print of "Why Did the Trial Between Pilate and Jesus Last Only Two Minutes?" (1996), a work by renowned artist Wolf Vostell.
The printmaking process will be carried out using a woodcut technique on paper with a single ink, executed on a large printing press specially installed in front of Vostell’s sculpture at the museum. The final piece will measure an impressive 1.70 meters high by 1.20 meters wide, allowing the public to closely observe both the technique and the result of this artistic intervention.
The Association of Friends of the Museum extends an open invitation to all who wish to attend this cultural activity, held in homage to the legacy of Wolf Vostell, one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. This is a unique opportunity to witness the creation of an artwork in an iconic setting like Museo Vostell Malpartida, known for its focus on contemporary and experimental art.
Admission is free, and the Association encourages everyone to join this day of art and culture.
