Vorwiegend arbeite ich mit Stahlrohren. Aufgeschnitten, verformt und verschweisst dienen sie als Ausgangsmaterial für Eisenplastiken wie die „Chromosomen“. Momentan arbeite ich an neuen Eisenplastiken - Loops aber auch verschlungene Knoten entstehen. Installationen aus Kunststoff sowie druckgrafische Arbeiten ergänzen mein künstlerisches Werk. For years the focus of my artistic work has been on genetic topics. Fascinated by the diverse forms and shapes of chromosomes, I welded sculptures for private and public spaces in various sizes. In addition to my other groups of steel sculptures like the Variations, I’m currently working on “Knots” - in steel a difficult task. My preferred material is steel. To realize my sculptures I cut steel tubes, shape and bend them, weld them and grind the welded joints. My artistic work also includes printmaking works and space- or site-specific works. Pendant quelques années, les thèmes liés à la génétique étaient au centre de mon travail artistique. Fascinée par les nombreuses formes de “chromosomes”, j’ai réalisé des sculptures en acier de formats différents. Durant les dernières années, j’ai développé d’autres thèmes : deux ou trois “tubes” s’entrecroisent, s’enroulent, s’enchevêtrent et rappellent l’accolade...les noeuds. Ma matière préférée est l’acier. Je travaille principalement avec des tubes. Je coupe, tords, plie, soude,et... des arrondis, des boucles se forment. En parallèle, je réalise des installations et des œuvres graphiques.
