Creating a sculpture in marble means to me a translation of my vision, giving the block of stone a new, elegant form. The form, with its beautiful shapes, translucency, light, and shadows, and delicacy of lines and curves, appears and vanishes into the stone. My passion as a sculptor is to find an interesting organic form. Carrara marble is the perfect material for me because every piece is unique. I like to play with this material. This marble has a high tensile strength, can take a high gloss polish, and holds very fine details, which I love.
