The Lungs of Peace

ā€œThe Lungs of Peaceā€ is a sculpture created from real weapons used in the last war in Kosovo. These weapons, once instruments of destruction and suffering, have been transformed into a symbol of life and hope.

The shape of the lungs embodies the most fundamental act of lifeā€”breathing. But these lungs no longer inhale the smoke and terror of war; they breathe in the oxygen of peace. They stand as a powerful call for reflection, for a future where weapons do not take lives but are turned into art that fosters dialogue and coexistence.
At a time when the world is moving towards a new era of militarization, this artwork serves as a universal message: human existence should not be tested by wars and conflicts but should be safeguarded and nurtured by peace. Without breath, there is no life. Without peace, there is no future.
