Our author Iris Haist reports on the traveling exhibition “(In)visible Differences” by Selma Sevin, in which works of art can be experienced with all of ones senses. Seeing with all Senses—Semra Sevin: (In)visible Differences
What if one could not only see installations but also hear, feel, and smell them, all at the same time? The latest series of exhibitions (In)visible Differences by Berlin-based artist Semra Sevin turns the multiple, elaborately developed, sculptural parts of the exhibition into a barrier-free, accessible holistic work of art for all of the senses.
Flowing Forms of Ropes, Fabrics, and Threads – the Weaver Tapta
In 1997, the Polish-Belgian artist Maria Irena Boyé died. As a little girl, she often arranged her toys in a circle, danced among them, and sang, "I am Tapta, Tapta, Tapta." Her family liked what they heard. Maria Irena became Tapta. She remained so forever.
The year is drawing to a close – we have prepared three particularly warming encounters for your personal finale! Tomorrow we will meet at Kunstcentret Silkeborg Bad in Denmark for a guided tour of the current double exhibition. On December 9, we'll be focusing online on the love of nature. And on December 15 we will meet in Amsterdam for a cosy Dialogue about the art by André Volten and Daniella Rubinovitz. We look forward to seeing you again!
