At the International Forum, we have curated a lineup of exceptional speakers who will ignite your imagination and shed light on the intersection of sculpture and the climate emergency. Join us in welcoming renowned artists such as Joana Escoval, Leonor Serrano Rivas, and Enric Pladevall, as well as art professionals like Daniela Zyman, the Chief Curator and Artistic Director of TBA21, and Marti Manen, curator and art writer. These esteemed guests will share their work and provide unique perspectives on the pressing topic of climate change. Moderating conversations and roundtable discussions will be the XV. International Forum's Curator Maria Gracia de Pedro, an outstanding contemporary art market specialist and art advisor based in Madrid.
Prepare to delve deep into the theme of climate change and its relevance to all of us, including artists, art lovers, and professionals. Our forum will offer dedicated time for engaging dialogues, knowledge sharing, and moderated talks by artists who have already explored the realms of climate change and sustainability in their creations.
The International Forum will kick off on Thursday, October 5th, at the prestigious Museo Picasso Málaga. You'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the museum's comprehensive collection, including both the permanent exhibits and the captivating temporary exhibitions. Afterward, join us at the Networking Cocktail, held right at the museum, where you can meet fellow participants and dive into stimulating conversations.
On the following day, Friday, October 6th, our gathering will continue at the mesmerizing Centre Pompidou Málaga, overlooking the picturesque marina of the city of Málaga. Here, you'll experience the richness of the museum's collection and witness the excellence of its program, encompassing various artistic disciplines. Our invited speakers will present their insights in pairs, leading to a captivating roundtable discussion in an interactive setting. Following this day of intensive contemplation and idea exchange, we'll head to the breathtaking mountains overlooking the lively city of Málaga. There, at the enchanting La Capilla: Señorío de Lepanto, we'll indulge in relaxation, recharge our spirits, and carry forward our conversations during the delightful Gala Dinner. The venue boasts open-air and covered dining spaces, providing the perfect ambiance for unforgettable moments. The culinary experience will feature a specially curated menu for all participants of the Sculpture Network's International Forum.
