Sculptor Tom Claassen (1964) searches for the essence of form in his sculptures. By showing the archetypal characteristics of people, animals and objects, he provides just enough tools to recognize the scene. Their large sizes ensure that you as a viewer cannot miss them. They often have round, soft shapes and are made of hard materials such as bronze, wood, aluminum, plastic and concrete. Besides being humorous, the images are also often endearing, clumsy and sometimes tragic.

Karin Arink, winner of Per Abramsen sculptuur prize 2023 will be exhibit in Het Kabinet of museum Beelden aan Zee with her solo exhibition "Hollow Gounds." Arink (1967) studied at the Willem de Kooning Academy and at the Rijksacademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. Karin Arink depicts the intense experience of her body and her life as a woman, lover and mother in expressive "signs of life" derived from language, clothing and gestures.

Erica van Seeters works mainly in stone. Her works provide an insight into her search for 'empty space'. The question of whether compacted matter, such as stone, is not for the most part actually space rather than matter (quantum physics). What then is this space? Energy, light, frequency, love,

Hans van der Gaarden who is known for his blog ‘Man van Taal’  has an unique way to talk about visual art which will give us a great introduction to the work we will see in the exhibition.
