Dear members,
The Board and Curatorial Board of Sculpture Network wishes you a very inspiring New Year!
Sculpture Network is flourishing again, engaging artists, art professionals, collectors and lovers of sculpture to meet, live or online, sharing their ideas and contacts.
2024
We had many inspiring events and great number of participants, and we will continue on this path.
A new development is the pilot for the Emerging Sculptor Prize which will be granted to encourage young talents from 25-40 years old.
Also, we established a new cooperation with our new member, Sculptura #2, a wonderful new sculpture initiative in Brussels, Belgium, opening January 2024, showcasing the work of 4 members: Sigita Dackevičiūtė, Jörg Plickat, Olaf Mooij and Willi Reiche.
2023
Last year, we could implement a new ICT-system, which is in the process of being finalized.
The website looks great! It draws 6000 visitors a month.
Tip: start the new year with updating your portfolio and post your exhibitions on Art Agenda!
Just login to your account and go to Artists, Artworks or Art Agenda.
We welcomed 64 new members including the Henry Moore Foundation, who became a cooperation partner, which is a great recognition of our organisation.
After many years, we could organise our flagship event again, the International Forum, which was held in Málaga, ES, a wonderful experience.
A growing number of people took part in 9 Online Clubs.
We thank our 10 coordinators, for the organisation of 18 Dialogues
in 5 different countries and 17 European cities.
In total, we had a record of 28 events, drawing 715 participants.
We have 600 new Instagram followers, amounting to 11.8 K followers in total.
Sculpture Network is a non-profit organisation. We express our thanks to
the Waldemar Bonselstiftung and the Tantau Stiftung for supporting our activities.
We are also very grateful for 2 private donations, which feels as a big compliment!
We are starting the year with a renewed team. We express our thanks to our departing
Board Member Christian Friederichs, who did an incredible amount of work on ICT and financing!
And we warmly welcome his successor, Karl Gadesmann.
We thank Isabel Bernheimer and Zeynep Ece Sahin for all their work in the office,
which will be picked up by Anemone Vostell.
We thank Elisabeth Pilhofer for editing 19 articles for the Newsletter,
Iris Haist for selecting Art Agenda, and Richarda Menger
and Kris Demeulenaere for their help on ICT and financing.
The organisation of Sculpture Network is very active.
But the network can really flourish with your help!
If you want to volunteer, let us know.
