sculpture network start'18 in Rome, Italy: Inside out

The artist JVT is displaying a series of outdoor works, including her latest bronze sculpture ‘ETERNITY II’, which was inspired by the catacombs lying beneath the Sculpture Park. A presentation will start at noon inside of these very catacombs, where the artist will be questioning the notion of space. Would we be able to both stand inside this 2400-year-old man-made underground construction and contemporaneously stand outside of this same space at the same exact time? Following a discussion around this question, JVT will screen a 10-minute video of ‘ETERNITY’, capturing its journey, from its work in progress at the foundry all the way to its installation during the 57th Venice Biennale at the Palladian Villa of Malcontenta.
